It would be very nice to have the Tags functionality in the web app version for something like this. That way you'd be to make a separate budget for a set time period or event say "SpringBreak_2027" for example. They could make the separate budget be related to tags.

Create the "SpringBreak_2027" 'budget' (really just a view based on a tag)
Creating that 'separate budget' automatically creates the tag for it.
It automatically shows that transaction in the "SpringBreak_2027" Budget when you apply the tag.
If they got fancy, you could have a rule that for the time period that the 'separate budget' is set for, it would automatically add the tag for all transactions. A bit of manual clean up is easier than needing to go add a tag to all of the transactions.
If they got really fancy, they could do it based on anything outside your normal spending pattern during that time too.

Yes, an annual or quarterly budget for big ticket expenses like travel or education would be really helpful! It's really painful to see those big occasional increases in spend impact a monthly recurring budget!!

I think it would be nice to have subcategories for dining/groceries/transport for vacations where if a transaction is outside of my current state or country, it suggests to add it to travel. Or something similar to track actual vacation spending. I've set up my own custom but I think there could be an easier way, as I think a lot of mine get lost and its a tad harder to keep track of what was actually spent on vacations.

I would like to be able to setup a budget for lets say a large vacation I am saving up for. This would be 2 features really. 1. Tracking saving towards the goal. 2. Tracking spending across many months to the budget. For example you buy plane tickets many months in advance. Hotels in a different month. etc.

Traveling Budget Breakdown, this is not a monthly budget. I may pay for thing ahead time for travels coming up but the month I Travel I want see a breakdown such as excursions, eating out shopping, etc.

It would be great to have a feature for trips. I can set the dates for my travels and create a budget for those days. I can also track my expenses and categorize them for those specific dates. This way, I’ll have a clear view of my trip costs, actual expenses compared to the budget, and ultimately, I can plan better for future trips.

I think this could be a good feature to drive referrals! Sort of when you force your friends to download splitwise for a trip. This could be helpful for anyone planning.
When I go on trips i have a high level idea of what I spent. But no granularity on the split and 0 awareness
