Savings Goals that do not require a Rocket Savings Account.
Arthur Jackson
I understand that this is a way to get people to sign up for a Rocket Savings account but that also restricts people who have savings accounts elsewhere and want to track goals based off the money they are putting in a separate account. For example, Monarch allows you to set a savings goal and then choose an account you want to use to track it with.
Even having multiple savings goals and allocating a certain percentage hypothetically or actually would be nice to see.

Savings Goal Account Linking

Hello, there is an automatic savings goal feature but rocket money forces you to create an account with them in order to start these savings goals. However, I’d rather not have another account to save. I would prefer to use one of my already linked savings accounts to contribute to using this feature.

The Credit Karma save account has a higher return on interest and many users use it for that reason. Would be great if that account could be connected as well.

Track Savings

I had monarch before and I love how they do savings. Rocket needs to let you create a special category that is for savings. I want to be able to track my automated transfers to different savings accounts and I am forced to call that transfer either income or an expense. If I choose to ignore it then I can’t track it via (tags) they need to allow you to make a custom category for “non spending” similar to how they have transfers, riembursments etc.

Using my own savings accounts for goals

either offering a competitive HYSA with a decent APY, or allowing me to use my own HYSA/Money management accounts instead of being force to use the in app savings.

This is a feature that even free money management/budgeting apps offer. I think it should be basic.

Soft Goals

I am considering moving to monarch because I would like a soft goals featue, like a goal of $70,000 and reference that to an account like a savings vault for just a visual tracker. I have my own HYSA vaults with Marcus and Sofi that have good interest rates, the current system only allows me to setup a goal and then transfer money to Rocket Money for that tracking feature.

Savings categories without needing to move money into rocket money.

Instead of only being able to allocate money into different savings goals by moving money in, there should be an option to manually track savings goals without moving money. I don't want to lose out on my interest earned by moving my money into the app.
