I pay many bills through a credit card, which is a common practice for many, and advised on for building credit. My credit card is paid through a cash app/wallet. So I add funds from bank to cash app/wallet (Apple Cash), then pay credit card, then pay certain bills. When categorizing transactions through linked accounts it becomes convoluted trying to categorize the Apple Cash debits. And having linked the credit card did not improve the process as for some reason Apple Card requires manual statements in RM, and not all transactions are showing from the statements.
All in all, if I pay $500 via Apple Cash to Apple Card to pay a $200 insurance bill, and two $150 bills for tuitions RM offers no way for me to track those transactions as categories and doesn’t reflect as normal payments as Apple Cash, even when manually categorized as credit card payments, is not reflecting in my overall monthly spending. Plus, if categorizing as credit card payments it’s doesn’t truly reflect that I’m paying insurance and tuitions.
Looking for options with a little bit more control on transactions, such as manually separating single transactions that might be going towards multiple entities, and recognizing credit card transactions as bill payments as well.
