Manually add a transaction

Hi Kathleen, good news here! You are able to add transactions manually by tapping on the the plus icon on the upper right of the Rocket Money mobile app.
One thing to note here: If you're doing this for a check or a scheduled payment, your spending would be
doubled
once that payment clears, since our system would be counting both your manual transaction and the one we automatically deducted. In that case, you can easily delete the manually added transaction by tapping on it and selecting "Delete" at the bottom of the page. Are these typically recurring payments that you're hoping to do this for or one time payments? If they're recurring, you can also indicate that when you're adding the transaction manually.

Daniel in ynab app when it clears the bank. If the date and all the details are all the same then the system will match it to the manual transaction. That would be a nice update. And then It marks the transition for me to review to make sure it is correct.

Daniel how would I apply this to a bank account so I can see it pending and tie it back to how much I have for available funds? I don’t see that option when I do it this way. Other apps have something similar but it is on the account level so we can see it as pending for an account and use it to monitor pre-scheduled payments or checks etc to make sure we maintain enough funds in them. Sometimes people take months to cash a check and I totally forget about them and then suddenly see them hit.

Gerald: Thanks for chiming in! You're spot on that a clearing feature would help out here if adding manually transactions. This isn't something that our team is actively working on right now, but it's on our radar.

Kathleen: Thanks for following up! Right now, it's not possible to connect a manually added transaction to a bank account. I can see how that'd be helpful though, especially for the situation you're describing (I am certainly guilty of taking months to cash them when I receive checks!)
It's not quite what you're asking for, but one way to do this right now could be to use the "Note" feature on the transaction, which you can use after you've added the transaction.
I've passed this feedback along to our team and, although we aren't actively working on a feature related to this, it is something we'd like to look into further.
