When changing new phone or reset the phone, some SSO software system not support transfer all existing account automatically, the user have to manually reset all the accounts. There is a need for user can do this by themselves rather than waiting for customer support team. The SSO software example: Okta Verify.

I don’t have access to my mobile during the day. It’s a 10-12 minute round trip to get the MFA code which expires by the time I get back to input it making it completely impossible to authenticate. Or extend the life of the MFA code.

I just tried to change my MFA and was told I need to verify my identity and go through customer service. What a weird, out-of-date, and worryingly insecure merry-go-round.
